This adorable cover design was created by Ukrainian graphic artist Adolf Strakhov (Braslavsky; 1896-1979). In the early 1920s he mainly produced sharp caricatures and satirical drawings. Then he became known as one of the most prominent Ukrainian book and poster designers, developing the socialist realism. Strakhov designed more than 250 books for the State publishing house of Ukraine and most of them feature interesting constructivist solutions. Also, this issue includes satirical drawings by N. Tsyganko placed in the humorous section.
The magazine covered both ideological and student topics, overviewing the life of various Ukrainian universities. This issue contains results of the Kharkiv student conference and a photograph of its delegates, articles about socialist approach to education and literary works by students.
