First edition. Book design by Georg Fischer. The photobook is dedicated to architecture of Japan. The album includes modern and classic architecture in comparison.
Boris Denike (1885-1941) was the specialist on Oriental Art, based in Kazan University. He was also the head of Moscow Oriental Museum and led several archeological expeditions to the Central Asia.
Mácza János (Ivan Matsa in Russian, 1893-1974), the Hungarian avant-garde critic, he has moved to USSR in 1923 and became the historian of art and architecture. He was the founding
member of VOPRA (All Union Society of Proletarian Architects), that existed in 1929-1932 that was absorbed by Soyuz Sovetskikh Arkhitektorov. He wrote several important works on the art theory in 1930s, including ‘Sovetskoe iskusstvo za 15 let. Materialy i documentatsiya’ [i.e. Soviet Art in 15 years. Materials and Documents] (1933).

The only copy of this book found in the Worldcat is in International Research Center for Japanese Studies, Kyoto.
