This outstanding co-work on the impact of studying and working conditions on the mental health was compiled by a group of 15 Soviet psychologists under direction of the prominent scholar and educator Alexander Nechaev (1870-1948) who was the editor of this book as well. Nechaev started his experimental study of psychology in the late 19th century drawing attention to the children’s ability to memorize. This book crowned his research of psychic fatigue and overviewed the contemporary methods of its calculations depending on the different groups of research participants.
