In the 1930s one of the most relevant topics was the Palace of Soviets and the author of this textbook didn’t walk by it. The Palace turns up occasionally in this book showing the external view, scheme and vertical section. The new design was approved by the party the same time this book was published and the project had included the giant monument of Lenin.
In this book Murashev explains the principles of urban planning and green zone placing, shows buildings of the different styles and ages starting from ziggurats. As the acme of 1930s Soviet architecture, the Palace of Soviets led the general tendencies and gathered advantages of ancient and modern architecture.
The book lists 43 most important Russian architects with their works and contains the reference list including 44 publications.
