Rare provincial edition. One of the first editions about famous incident.
The book is dedicated to the Umberto Nobile's dirigible expedition in 1928, its crash and rescue by Krasin and Malygin ice breakers. Soviet writer Boris Yampolsky (1912-1972) used materials from newspapers and magazines to compile events of the story.
