A promoting picture of various types of dairy food, including cottage cheese, soured cream, curd cheese bars with or without filling. In all, it features 13 variations. Such photographs frequently were illustrations of books showing off abundance of the Soviet food industry. Simultaneously, this image is a source for development of the Soviet packaging design.
Most of the products were released by a dairy association “Moloko” [Milk]. In 1962, all the main Moscow enterprises of the dairy industry were assembled into an association “Moloko”, including the Ochakovo, Tsaritsyno and Ostankino dairy plants, as well as the Moscow processed cheese plant. Most likely, this photo captures the 1970s packaging, when glazed curd snacks were introduced in production.
