The copy features traces of book price changing on front wrapper and last page. This panorama handbook contains illustrated instructions on how to restore an earlier bound book all alone. Nine sections of the leaf feature the text and 26 illustrations. The edition introduces tools and equipment needed and shares “the simplest and quick method” of manual bookbinding. The book was released by Detizdat, so it was supposed to be read and used by children. Interestingly, the page about instruments starts with a direction to produce by themselves a paper press and a sewing frame, to prepare flour paste, wood glue, two wooden boards with sloped edges, etc.
