Propaganda collection about Grozneft shock-working employees. No title page, as in a copy located in the Russian State Library.
Nationalized oil fields and factories in North Caucasus were taken under control of the Central management of Grozny oil fields and factories. Since 1923, the enterprise has been called the Grozneft Trust. In 1933, the company produced less petroleum than the authorities required. The same year, enthusiastic employees were highlighted among others to show how true socialist workers acted. The book contains freely formed interviews with shock-workers accompanied by their portraits.
The publication was printed shortly before the Malgobek oil field was launched in the Checheno-Ingush Autonomous Okrug. In this area, a reservoir was first discovered in 1915, but extraction was changeable. It was re-opened in 1934 and the nearby village Voznesenskoye was transformed into the working village Malgobek. The development of the Malgobek-Gorsk oil field led to the rapid growth of the village, and then the city Malgobek. The book mentions shock-working employees who were building structures of the Malgobek oil field. Apart from portraits, the photographer also took pictures of structures and some equipment.
