Lidantiu Faram, a dramatic poem written in the Zaum language, was published in 1923 and marked the culmination of Iliazd’s formal experiments in typographical design. The work was the final piece in his pentalogy Aslaablich’ya. Pietr’ka Deystf, dedicated to his late friend Mikhail Le-Danty. Accompanying the book, was a separately published preface by French critic and dada
painter Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes, titled Ledentu le Phare. In this preface, Ribemont-Dessaignes identified Zaum and the «41°» movement as Russia’s contribution to literary Dadaism, praising their shared goal of subverting traditional norms and forms. The author also highlighted the uniqueness of the book’s typography, noting how it reflects the radical nature of Zdanevich’s creative vision. While copies of Lidantiu Faram are already extremely rare on the market, this preface, conceived specifically to accompany the book, is even rarer, making it a true collector’s item for those interested in Russian avant-garde and early 20th-century Dadaist movements.
