Two-side lithographed wartime leaflet in Armenian. The leaflet encouraged soldiers of the Western front to fight against the Nazis and avenge Soviet soldiers and civilians. The text mentions some extremely violent cases when Soviet people were executed or raped, as well as Soviet prisoners of war were brutally murdered by the Nazis. When WWII broke out, about 60,000 Armenians were serving in the Red Army. During the war, more than 300 thousands were additionally mobilized in the territory of the Armenian SSR. Military formations made up of Armenians were sent to some of the hardest sectors of the front. In particular, they liberated the Baltic States, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and Moldova from Nazi occupation. The total number of fallen Armenians is estimated at 200,000. (Wikipedia).
