Rare. One of 5000 copies. Text is printed vertically.Pagination is given with words, not numbers. The front flap of the catalogue includes table of contents. It opens with biography. Then follows Tatlin’s design of The Monument of the Third International (more known as Tatlin’s Tower) described by A. Strigalev. Next is a short article about the artist by Russian writer Konstantin Simonov. The catalogue starts with paintings listed in chronological order. The short description of Tatlin’s work as drawer precedes the list of drawings from the exhibition. Book illustrations are in a separate list. The description of his theatre works together with the list precedes the list of exhibition items. Next section is dedicated to Letatlin and the last one is the list of his industrial designs. Overall 108 works were presented at the exhibition. The text is supplemented with numerous black and white photographs and facsimiles. The unusual design of the catalogue was in tune with the Tatlin’s exceptional legacy. In 1932 Tatlin’s first solo exhibition was held, it also became the last for a long time as Socialist realism was the only acceptable concept. In 1977 it was his first exhibition since then. It included Letatlin on the display.
