Second edition. Vladimir Mikhailovich Konashevich (1888—1963) – Russian and Soviet artist, graphic designer, Doctor of Art History, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1945), one of the most famous masters of Soviet book illustration. All pre-war Chukovsky editions are rare due to his popularity with the young readers.
