An anniversary book on the first fifteen-year span of Soviet rule in the Bashkir Republic and local achievements of early five-year plans.

Due to this date, a church has been demolished on a hill in the city center and construction of the House of Socialist Culture has begun. The project was entrusted to architect V. Kokorin. According to the foreword, the University of Mechanical Engineering and a city clinic were also opened in 1934. A tram line, water supply and sewerage systems in Ufa were in hastened construction.

Two folding inserts show geologist surveys of the Bashkir territory for 1918 and 1934. Both were created by G. Vakhrushev. Two photomontage half-titles with constructivist letterpress design by A. Land contrast Bashkir life under tsarist rule with what it looked like during industrialization.

Bashkir ASSR was a part of the industrial region Ural– Kuzbass. The book includes numbers of heavy industry development, government financing of various sectors of the economy in the 1930s, as well as production, agricultural and livestock farming plans. The compilers wrote especially proudly about national politics and education. Statistical data of the early 1920s and the early 1930s is provided.

Worldcat shows copies located in Universities of Chicago and North Carolina.
