RABIS or Sorabis (Union of Art Workers) was a professional creative union formed in 1919 in Moscow. It was a first creative union of the country and it united many small existing unions like Actors’ Union, Musicians’ Union, etc. (including Sculptors’ Union). RABIS, Sorabis and then Vserabis united all art workers ‘‘on the voluntary commencements’’.
